Michael Scott and his three sons, Dwight, Jim, and Kevin founded Caring At Home after observing the desperate need for quality senior care services in the Carbondale/Utica, Pawnee, and Scranton areas.

The Scott family a.k.a. “Scott’s Tots” are long-time residents of Pennsylvania. They value and enjoy serving others and discovering where they can contribute to their community.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple: Hire the very best caregivers in our market and allow them an opportunity to shine by providing our clients with an exceptional experience that exceeds their expectations.

PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEES

Unlike most non-medical agencies, the majority of our caregivers are RNs, LPNs, HHAs, or CNAs. This ensures the highest level of quality. Our employees are trained and knowledgeable about personal care needs for clients with medical, rehab, hospice, and Alzheimer’s/dementia issues.

FAMILY OWNED

We are a local, family-owned, and operated agency that is not restricted by large corporations or the rules of franchising. This allows us the opportunity to personally customize our services in unique ways to meet the exact needs of our clients.

EMPLOYEE SCREENING

We were the first local agency to require mandatory drug testing by hair samples for all our employees as a condition of employment. This is a more comprehensive test to determine drug usage.

24 HOUR ACCESS

Our management team is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to address your needs and ensure quality service.

DEPENDABLE CARE

Once we schedule a shift for your loved one, we honor it. If a caregiver gets sick, we have another caregiver available to assist you. Additionally, our automated scheduling and telephonic recording system helps to ensure we know where and when our caregivers are on their assignments.

RESPONSIVE SERVICE

We have the ability to send a caregiver to assist your loved one the same day you call.

ONGOING TRAINING

We provide our caregivers with a wide range of training courses and educational opportunities that allow them to expand their skills and advance their careers.
